Looking ahead to summer, Northwestern Medical Center is spreading the word about the relocation of its St. Albans Urgent Care clinic in July.

Northwestern Urgent Care is one of the three practices that move into that new two-story building currently under construction at the front of NMC’s campus. Urgent Care will be joined there by Northwestern Primary Care and Northwestern Orthopaedics as well as NMC’s Outpatient Lab.

Early communication to the community about the Urgent Care relocation is important, said Community Relations Specialist, Kate Laddison.

“We are reaching out to the patients of all our practices who are affected by our relocations. However, Urgent Care patients represent a special case. No one plans for a trip to the Urgent Care — it’s frequently about unexpected illness or injury. So, community members may not be thinking that our Urgent Care messages apply to them,” she said.

NMC urges community members to keep watch for updates on construction progress. Information is regularly posted on NMC’s Facebook page, on the hospital’s website, and in the media.
