In 1984, Martha’s Kitchen began, addressing a need in the St. Albans community. Starting by only serving around 10 people a day, over the past 40 years the volunteer-led organization has grown to become an important part of the St. Albans community. Their mission is Restoring dignity to hungry individuals and families by providing nourishment and companionship in a safe, warm and caring environment. NMC’s CEO Peter Wright took a tour of the facilities led by Martha’s Kitchens current Guardian and Administrator, Bob Begley.
“The mission of Martha’s Kitchen, restoring dignity by providing nourishment, is core to what NMC believes is essential for not only a healthy population, but a strong and vibrant community.
