Allicia Imada, MDOrthopaedic Surgery

Dr. Allicia Imada joined the Northwestern Orthopaedic team in September 2024. Dr. Imada completed a Hand and Upper Extremity fellowship at the University of New Mexico, where she also did her Orthopaedic Surgery residency. She earned her MD from the University of Vermont College of Medicine.

Dr. Imada joined NMC because her husband is from Fletcher and, after spending time with NMC’s ortho team on an elective in residency, she found she liked the hospital, staff, patients, and most of all --- the other Orthopaedic surgeons.

She said she got into Orthopaedic surgery because she loves helping patients with a multitude of conditions in ways that improve their lives. She specialized in hand surgery because she said that hands give us our livelihood and personality.

Dr. Imada said her spare time is largely spent with her baby, who was born in March. Other free time activities include hiking with the family dog Argos, camping, gardening and listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Having grown up on Maui, Dr. Imada also loves the ocean.
