Susan Casavant, OT

Susan has been working at NMC since 2001.  She specializes in Orthopedic upper extremity therapy as well as treatment for neurological conditions such as brain injury, stroke, muscular sclerosis, Parkinson’s, memory impairment including driving assessments.  She has done extensive and ongoing education in the areas of cognition and memory as they relate to neurological injuries and impairment.  She has also done continuing education around hand, wrist and elbow injuries.  She has a passion for helping patients maintain the highest level of independence as possible.

Susan is originally from Franklin County and was inspired to go into occupational therapy by her parents who were both medical professionals.   She enjoys spending family time outdoors. In the winter she coaches young children through the Smuggler’s Notch Ski and Race Club, and in the summer she can usually be found at the lake.   She actively volunteers at the local food shelf, library, and for community events.
